I have a very clear understanding of the village operations and departments. I know most employees on a first name basis. We have made numerous improvements to the operation of the village. Our professional Manager continues doing a great job. Our road referendum was passed and many new businesses have come to Villa Park. We are working on a plan for a new village recreation center. We are also separating the sewers to relieve flooding in our resident's homes. I have made difficult decisions always with the greater good of the residents at the forefront of my decision making process. I stand up and fight for all residents of Villa Park. I am honest and trust worthy and have always been accountable to the residents.How would you describe the condition of your community's budget, and what are the most important specific actions the town should take to assure providing the level of services that people want?The Village budget is expertly done. Our finance department wins awards for the quality and transparency of our budget.We need to keep our top qualified financial staff, they're doing a great job.Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?The budget is closely scrutinized by experts and the village board.The streets/library/recreation center could use more funding when it becomes available.Describe your leadership style and explain how you think that will be effective in producing effective actions and decisions with your village board or city council.I work very well with the Board of Trustees.
