Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.I support the effort to raise the sales tax by 0.5% to address the aging and deteriorating underground utility infrastructure. I believe this increase in sales tax will provide much needed revenue to complete the separation of storm sewers and sanitary sewers that will in turn alleviate long standing flooding problemsRate the efficiency of your town's police and fire coverage. Are the departments well prepared for the next decade? What, if anything, should be changed? Do you have specific public safety concerns?I believe staffing levels for police and fire departments are at an acceptable level. Recent acquisition of a new fire truck and other equipment has contributed to making our fire department to notch.Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?I believe that the staff and the board are always for ways to spend tax money more efficiently. Joint purchasing efforts and recent refinancing of debt has contributed to significant savings for the village.
