Police, FBI seek suspect in Waukegan bank robbery

Police and the FBI are searching for a man who robbed a Waukegan bank Monday afternoon while implying he had a weapon.

According to Waukegan police, the man walked into the Bank of America in the 900 block of Waukegan Road at about 4:10 p.m. Monday and announced the robbery. He did not show a weapon, police said.

The suspect is described as a white man in his late 20s, standing about 6 feet tall, and having reddish facial hair. He was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect left the bank on foot, police said.
