Community service honorees sought for Gurnee Days
Gurnee Days Corp. is seeking nominations for a living individual or couple who has given selfless service to the community for recognition at the village's annual festival. The honor will begin with a testimonial dinner to be held Thursday, Aug. 10. That will be followed by serving as grand marshal of the Gurnee Days parade Sunday, Aug. 13. Honorees must have provided a meaningful contribution to the village for at least 10 years. Nomination forms are available at the Gurnee village hall, park district headquarters or the Gurnee Days website at gurneedays.com. Forms must be returned by March 25.
