ICAN Awards Night Received Mind-blowing Nominations from Chicagoland Community for 2017
Oak Brook, IL, February 12, Sunday: The iCAN (Indian Community Awards Night) Leadership team that consists of prominent community leaders from Chicagoland, conducted 2nd information session on Sunday, February 12, at the Doubletree Hotel by Hilton, Oak Brook, Illinois. This public event was aimed at announcing the final nominations for the main event before official voting commences on Sunday 19th Feb 2017. iCAN has received a staggering 648 nominations in different categories such as Best Chef, Best Restaurant, Best Entrepreneur Male, Best Entrepreneur Female, Best Innovator, Best Community Organization, Best Volunteer, Best Community Promoter, Best Community Leader, Community Health & Fitness, Friends of India, Most Emerging & Promising Personality, Most Humble Person, Pride of Community, Young Achiever, Student of the Year, Youth Icon, Entertainment Awards, Best Dancer Female, Best Dancer Male, Best performing Artist, Fashion Awards, Social Media award and Family Awards. There have been many big names from the community for the nominations. iCAN would recognize the unsung community heroes through a grand platform.
The event commenced with motivational opening act, saluting our motherland, which was performed by Chicago's newest singing sensation, RJ Maddy Singh along with a dance performance on his song by Desi Junction's RJ Khushi Dave. The guests were instantly glued and were ready to hear more about the upcoming iCAN event timeline.
Ravi Rawat, Marketing Head of iCAN Awards, officially welcomed the guests and nominees followed by an overview of the iCAN journey. Neil Khot, Girish Kapur, and Sanjeev Singh, and members of the iCAN Leadership team also spoke about the event. The probable nominees were then announced by two other leaders of the iCAN initiative, Jassi Parmar and Sanjeev Singh. The entire iCAN team, including volunteers who are working day and night to make this event a huge success, were called on stage and recognized by the Leadership. The probable nominees and sponsors were also a part of this mega event and showed up in big numbers to display their support. All the sponsors (Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, Partners) were recognized on this coveted stage by the iCAN leaders. Rita Singh, Neil Khot, and. Dr. Akber Khan were formally introduced and announced as the newest Platinum Sponsor for this event.
The iCAN is moving forward with full throttle, the first of its kind, trend-setting Awards Night. As mentioned on several news platforms, since the launch in December 2016, the iCAN team will host its first Gala Event on March 18, 2017 at the Meadows Club in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.
The show was brilliantly emceed by Jassi Parmar, Desi Junction's RJ Mohan Rawat, and RJ Komal Kherde. Rita Singh, Media Chair thanked all the media for their support to iCAN team.
