St. Charles library to offer free genealogy workshop

If you are interested in tracing your family's roots and need help in learning how to use Ancestry.com, the St. Charles Public Library is offering a free workshop to help both new and experienced genealogists with their search.

An "Ancestry.com Primer" is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m. in the library's Carnegie Community Room, 1 S. Sixth Ave.

Genealogist Caron Primas-Brennan will review the Ancestry.com site, including the Ancestry Trees; discuss what it has to offer beginners as well as more advanced genealogy researchers; and compare what is available through the free site and the paid subscription.

Registration for all workshops is required. For information or registration, visit www.stcharleslibrary.org or call (630) 584-0076.
