Trump using distraction

While painting in my studio and listening to the radio, I heard something interesting about Donald Trump. I am writing to share.

The following is from Daniel Boneva from the University of Texas at Austin. In summary, President Trump "keeps media focused on issues that don't make any difference, (like size of crowd or voting numbers) while Trump does important things in the background that don't get a lot of attention, (like signing those executive orders).

Tossing out a bunch of squirrels, saying, "look at the squirrel, look at the squirrel" while Trump goes about doing his work and the media fall for it, completely.

Boneva went on to say he thought Trump is purposely "gas-lighting" the media and although it appears chaotic, he thinks Trump is working an aggressive agenda and will reshape a number of Federal agencies this term.

On its face, maybe this is one person's learned opinion, but then I recall how Ronald Reagan and H.W. Bush were unable to touch FDR's programs whatsoever, but it was President Bill Clinton who reformed welfare, oversaw further banking deregulation, and presided over NAFTA, and what most people remember about him is Monica Lewinski and personal faults.

Nobody in the media ever seemed to report the Democratic Party had completely abandoned the American, taxpaying, working class here in America during Bill Clinton's Administration and has never yet returned, even to this day.

As evidence, I would state that President Obama could have called in the FBI to investigate the cause of the housing/banking/Wall Street fiascoes and at least fire those responsible. Instead, they got promoted, and from what I can tell by statistics, thanks to this inaction, have yet another banking crisis around the corner.
