Benefit set for District 62 grant funds
The District 62 Foundation is hosting its annual benefit to fund student grants.
The benefit is 6 p.m. Feb. 24 at Cafe La Cave, 2777 Mannheim Road in Des Plaines. This year's theme of "Keep Calm and Laugh" will be highlighted with improv group Active Improv, which includes district staff.
All proceeds benefit the foundation, which uses the money to award grants to students in Des Plaines Elementary District 62. In 2016, donors raised $22,000 to fund 41 grants for students.
