DuPage ice fishing tourney was fun for all

On Saturday, Jan. 14, the DuPage County Forest Preserve District sponsored an ice fishing tournament called Hard Water Classic.

As one of the 300-plus participants, I would like to commend the outstanding job done on the organization and execution of this family friendly event. It was very heartening to see the many fishermen attending with their very excited sons and daughters who were treated to a very special day that they will always remember.

All of the DuPage Forest Preserve employees and their volunteers were very friendly and helpful providing such a truly great experience.

Congratulations and many thanks to the forest preserve district for this opportunity and all of the many great ranger led programs for children, adults and those with special needs.
