A better candidate for tollway job?
I read in the Jan. 16 Daily Herald about how the new Illinois Tollway's Chief Operating Officer is a political and campaign veteran. This is the problem with Illinois. This is one of the reasons people are leaving the state. The endless story of political cronyism.
Do you think just maybe somebody with a tollway background from within the agency or someone from another toll agency in the country might just do a better job in this position? At $155,000 a year, it's not like we are getting any bargain here. Surely somebody better qualified could have been found.
