Volunteer for homeless count

Volunteers are sought for Lake County's 2017 Point-In-Time Count of the sheltered and unsheltered homeless. The annual activity is done to capture a picture of what homelessness looks like on any given day. Volunteers will begin work at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, to interview and count unsheltered homeless persons living within Lake County. Visit the Lake County Coalition for the Homeless site http://www.lakecountyhomeless.org/to register as a volunteer or watch a video on YouTube to hear from 2016 volunteers. Contact Brenda O'Connell, (847) 377-2331 or boconnell@lakecountyil.gov or Yareli Facundo, (847) 377-2134 or yfacundo@lakecountyil.gov with questions.
