Should we be controlled by 3 major cities?

This is for all of you out there who are opposed to the Electoral College. Wise up!

The Founding Fathers were much smarter than you.

The 2016 Presidential Election was the epitome of why the Electoral College was created. If we were to go solely by popular vote, our country would be controlled by three large urban centers, New York, Los Angeles and Chicago.

The rest of the country would have to abide by the failing liberal, socialist policies that those cities so vigorously promote. Would that be fair? Should the citizens of Kansas have to put up with the slaughter that's happening on the south side of Chicago?

No electoral system can be perfect, but thank God our Founding Fathers had the intelligence and foresight to create one that is the fairest for a Democratic Republic with 50 states and a population of 325 million diverse citizens.
