Schaumburg restaurateur named chairman of Meet Chicago Northwest

Andy-John G. Kalkounos, owner-partner of Chicago Prime Italian and Chicago Prime Steakhouse restaurants in Schaumburg, has been appointed board chairman for Meet Chicago Northwest.

Kalkounos has served since 2011 on the board for the organization, which is the official destination marketing organization promoting and selling the Chicago Northwest region.

Other officers for 2016- 2017 include Brett Hintz of TopGolf as treasurer; Mike Burton of Westin Chicago Northwest - Itasca as secretary, and Julie Berry of Eaglewood Resort & Spa, Patton Feichter of the Village of Elk Grove, and Heather Lloyd of Woodfield Mall as vice chairmen. Dave Parulo is the tourism bureau's president.

The agency promotes the communities of Arlington Heights, Elk Grove Village, Itasca, Rolling Meadows, Roselle, Schaumburg, Streamwood and Wood Dale to make a positive economic impact through tourism. For more information, visit www.ChicagoNorthwest.com or call (847) 490-1010.
