Dr. Scott Smoron elected to the Board of the Chicago Dental Society

Scott Smoron, DDS, an orthodontist who practices in Mt. Prospect, was elected to the board of the Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Smoron was installed as a board member at a ceremony held on Sunday, November 6, at the Ritz Carlton Chicago. He will serve a three-year term representing the Northwest Suburban Branch as director.

The Chicago Dental Society, which was established in 1864, has more than 4,400 members in Cook, Lake and DuPage counties, making it the largest local society of the American Dental Association and Illinois State Dental Society. The Chicago Dental Society, the respected leader in scientific dental meetings, will be hosting its 152nd Midwinter Meeting February 23-25, 2017 at the McCormick Place West.

Dr. Smoron earned his dental degree at the Northwestern University Dental School and his Master of Science in Dentistry degree in Orthodontics at the Saint Louis University. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, American Association of Orthodontists, Midwestern Society of Orthodontists, Illinois Society of Orthodontists and Zi Psi Phi Dental Fraternity.

Dr. Smoron resides in Mt. Prospect with his wife Katie and their son Ryan (2). Dr. Smoron is an avid runner having completed ultra marathons and 100-mile races.
