Dr. Louis Imburgia becomes President-elect of the Chicago Dental Society

Louis Imburgia DDS, a general dentist who practices in Park Ridge, was sworn in as president-elect of the Chicago Dental Society at a ceremony held on Sunday, November 6, at the Ritz Carlton Chicago.

The society, which was established in 1864, has more than 4,400 members in Cook, Lake and DuPage counties, making it the largest local society of the American Dental Association. The Chicago Dental Society, the respected leader in scientific dental meetings, will be hosting its 152nd Midwinter Meeting February 23-25, 2017 at the McCormick Place West.

Dr. Imburgia graduated from the Loyola University School of Dentistry. He is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists. He was the recipient of the Dr. Raffaele Suriano Award this year from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Dentistry. This award is given to a dentist for their important contributions to dentistry in the Chicago area on the part of a faculty member or alumnus of a Chicago area dental school, reflecting the contributions of Dr. Raffaele Suriano, former Dean of the Loyola University Chicago School of Dentistry.

He also currently volunteers for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. He has been a practicing dentist for over 30 years.

Dr. Imburgia and his wife, Rosemary have three children, Michelle, Anthony and Sean.
