Waukegan police investigating motel robbery

Waukegan police are investigating a robbery at the Crossland motel, authorities said.

Police were called to the motel on the 1100 block of Northpoint Boulevard at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, after the clerk was robbed by two men, authorities said.

The employee told police two black men in their 20s, wearing hooded sweatshirts to conceal their faces, jumped the counter, pushed down the employee, and took money from the business. No weapon was used or implied during the robbery, authorities said.

After taking money, they were last seen entering a white vehicle and driving away.

The employee was not hurt. Police are not releasing details on the amount of money taken.
