Elk Grove police issue 382 seat belt citations
Elk Grove Village police issued 382 seat belt citations during a stepped-up Click It or Ticket enforcement period Nov. 14-27, authorities reported Monday.
The police department also issued five child car seat citations and 30 cellphone citations. Officers made one arrest for driving under the influence, apprehended two fugitives, issued 11 drug citations, and gave three speeding tickets, police said.
The law enforcement mobilization was funded by federal traffic safety funds passed through the Illinois Department of Transportation.
