Des Plaines launches app to let residents submit requests, pose questions

The city of Des Plaines has unveiled a new mobile app that allows residents to submit service requests, report potholes, and pose questions to city departments.

"DP 311" is available for free upload on Google Play and the iPhone App Store on cellphones and tablets. The app has been in development for the past year.

Officials say all user submissions are automatically redirected to appropriate city service divisions. The app provides a notification when the status of a question or service request changes.
