Have a holly jolly good time at The North Pole Holiday Spectacular

Snap a selfie with Santa, decorate cookies and witness the shenanigans that transpire when elves fall behind making presents.

The Schaumburg Park District's North Pole Holiday Spectacular, sponsored by Amita Health, is set for 1:30-4 p.m. and 5-7:30 p.m., Dec. 3, at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road. Participants may choose from two event times.

Activities include a live stage show with an original story about Santa's elves as well as music, games, crafts and prizes. Families may bring their own photos for pictures with Santa. As part of the event, characters also will tell stories about holiday traditions.

"The atmosphere will be very festive," said Beth Waller, cultural arts supervisor. "This is a great event for the whole family."

Tickets for each session are $6 per adult and $8 per child. Day of event cost is $8 per adult and $10 per child. Tickets may only be purchased at CRC.
