Palatine man sentenced to 5 years for sexually abusing teen
A Palatine man whose criminal background includes convictions on drug and battery charges pleaded guilty Wednesday to sexually abusing a teenage girl earlier this year.
In exchange for his guilty plea to aggravated criminal sexual abuse, Corey Stoval, 25, was sentenced to five years in prison and ordered to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, court records show.
Stoval, who received credit for 222 days in custody, was also ordered to pay $1,339 in fines.
Prosecutors say Stoval molested the girl on March 22. She immediately told family members and later identified Stoval in a lineup.
