See photos of Taiwan at Bartlett gallery exhibit

Arts in Bartlett sponsors a new exhibit, "Capturing the Beauty of Taiwan: Photography from 2016 Visit," during the month of November at the Bartlett Village Hall 2nd Floor Gallery, 228 Main St., Bartlett. Gallery hours are: 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.-noon Saturdays.

The photography in this new exhibit was taken by Chicago-area residents from recent visits to Taiwan. Some include the October trip that at least seven Bartlett residents traveled together in a musical and cultural experience that included a World Hakka Choral Competition and Bartlett's Sister City International Exchange with Miaoli.

The artist reception for the photographers will be from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 15, at Bartlett Village Hall, in the 2nd Floor Gallery, 228 S. Main St. There will be refreshments catered from TL'S Four Season Restaurant. There will be songs performed by the Chicago Hakka Chorus.

At the 7 p.m. village town meeting, Mayor Kevin Wallace will make a presentation on his experience traveling with the group, meeting the Vice President of Taiwan and having a Sister City International Exchange with the mayor of Miaoli. He will present gifts to Bartlett from the sister city.
