Two girls charged after Stevenson High fight

Two female Stevenson High School students are being charged after a fight that left them both injured, police announced Wednesday.

The 15- and 17-year-old girls will be charged in juvenile court with simple battery.

A third student involved in the Nov. 1 fight, a 16-year-old boy who Lincolnshire police said was a victim and suffered minor injuries, will not be charged.

An argument preceded the fight, police said.

As part of their investigation, police reviewed a videotape obtained from the school that showed the violent confrontation.

Both girls were treated for their injuries at a hospital, police said.

A school representative declined to say if any disciplinary action had been taken against any of the students, citing the confidentiality of student records.
