An unfair rap

Listen: Politicians, like news people, get a bad rap. Oh sure, there's self-interest, there are inaccuracies. There's bias. Sometimes. In some people. But our best politicians really do care about people. They really do care about our country.

Maybe they're conservative, maybe they're liberal. The best of those have dedicated much of their lives to public service. And some few have spent their entire adult lives working in the public interest. No naiveté here - many of the best of the best have made a lot of money along the way. No fault there.

The Daily Herald's motto applauds that. And that is the case with Hillary Clinton. Her harshest critics will try to assign corruption there and Trump's critics will do the same for him.

The difference is that Clinton is one of the politicians who has worked constantly for the public good, for the disadvantaged, for the downtrodden and the powerless while Trump has worked his entire career entirely in his own self-interest.

And at the same time, Trump distinguishes himself by his narcissism by his arrogance, by his crudeness and by his meanness.

Hillary is the obvious choice for me between the two. Those are some of the important reasons I endorse Hillary Clinton for President of the United States.
