Worried about foreclosure?

Anyone underwater on their mortgage or worried about foreclosure can learn about new options for homeowners at a presentation from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the Round Lake Beach Cultural & Civic Center, off Hook Drive west of Route 83. Two new forgivable loan assistance programs can help homeowners stabilize their mortgage. I-Refi provides up to $50,000 to eliminate negative equity caused by the economic downturn, while the Hardest Hit Fund offers up to $35,000 to homeowners working toward regaining employment and financial stability. The village of Round Lake Beach is teaming with Affordable Housing Corporation of Lake County to explain how the programs work, who is eligible, and how to apply. There is no charge for admission. Contact Lisa Pugliese with questions or to register at (847) 201-9186 or lpugliese@rlbeach.org.
