Nightmare on Stevenson Drive to raise funds for college prep program

The Stevenson High School Foundation's new "spook-tacular" Halloween event is less than three weeks away. Nightmare on Stevenson Drive, a fundraiser for the Foundation's Stevenson to College program, will be held Saturday, Oct. 22, at SHS. Participants are invited to "run (or walk) for their lives" through a haunted trail around campus. Check-in and kickoff begins at 5 p.m., with the Nightmare starting at dusk (6 p.m.) Costumes are encouraged, but need to follow SHS guidelines. See www.d125.org/students/halloween-costume-policy for requirements.

Anyone who survives the terrible trek is invited to a party in the stadium featuring Bumpin' Balls, fun athletic competitions, food, music, a photo booth and more. The cost for the event is $25, which includes a lighted wristband and a food voucher for either Lou Malnati's, Dairy Queen, Chick-fil-A or Weiner Take All. Additional items will be available for purchase. To pay online by credit card, visit www.d125.org/foundation, or register in person on the evening of the event.

The Stevenson to College program mentors Stevenson students at risk of not attending college and provides the necessary tools and support to empower them to succeed in their college and career quest.
