Streamwood fight believed to have started at school

A woman and girl are facing charges in connection with a fight Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of Club Tree Drive and Lynnwood Court in Streamwood, officials said.

The fight, which drew a large group of spectators, involved two or three girls and one woman, said Deputy Police Chief Daryl Syre.

While the fight remains under investigation, Syre said police believe it stemmed from prior interaction between two of the girls at school.

Two girls suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital as a precaution. They have both since been released.
