YMCA Gears Up for 9th Annual Halloween Spooktacular on October 23

Ghostly and ghoulish spirits will take over the North Suburban YMCA on October 23 for the ninth annual Spooktacular Halloween Party. This hugely popular community tradition transforms the entire Y into a Halloween festival with activities for all ages. Located at 2705 Techny Road in Northbrook, the Y will welcome the public from 2:00 to 5:00 pm, with exclusive early access for families of children with special needs from 1:30 to 2:00 pm.

Guests of all ages can enjoy Halloween activities, from the one-of-a-kind Spooky Pool Boat ride to a collection of inflatable bounce houses for the younger set. Kids and adults can come together for costume contests, haunted hallways, spooky sensory stations, a kids' maze, and a "Thriller" dance party. Guests can also take home souvenirs including art projects, photo booth pictures, and goodies from indoor trick-or-treating.

"Everyone looks forward to our Halloween Party, and we have surprises in store to make this the best one yet," says Kathy Fielding, NSYMCA Vice President of Member Engagement and Marketing. "Families come back every year and bring along their friends. We're proud that this has become a major community tradition where people celebrate fall and have fun together."

The Y's Spooktacular Halloween Party is made possible with the generous support of sponsors, including 22nd Century Media, Waterway Carwash, Toys R Us Highland Park, Buffalo Wild Wings Northbrook, Sunset Foods, Dairy Queen, and Tiny But Mighty Popcorn.

Admission to the party is free for Y members, $20 per family for non-members. Guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable donations for the Northfield Township Food Pantry. For more information, visit nsymca.org or call 847 272 7250.
