Temptations coming to Benedictine

The Temptations, music legends and Motown favorites, will perform next month at Benedictine University in Lisle.

The quintet will perform some of their greatest hits, including "My Girl," "Get Ready" and "Just My Imagination," beginning at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, in the school's new Goodwin Hall Auditorium, 5700 College Road.

The group signed with Motown Records in 1961 and its first hit was 1964's "The Way You Do The Things You Do" from the album "Meet the Temptations."

The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989. In 2010, The Temptations were ranked at No. 68 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time."
