A Golden Night Under the Golden Arches for St. Peter Lutheran

On Monday, September 26th, St. Peter Lutheran School held a McTeacher's Night fundraiser at the NEW McDonald's in Hoffman Estates on Roselle Rd. The McTeacher's Night was a fun way to bring the St. Peter teachers together and have the opportunity to meet the parents of students and members of the community while raising funds for the teachers to go to a Lutheran Teacher Education Conference. And what a wonderful night St. Peter had, as the restaurant was full of families supporting the school as well as waiting to see their teachers, Principal Zielke, and an amazing choir performance. Teachers had so much fun at this community event where they were able to interact with families and students. An amazing eighteen teachers and staff worked from the school. The McTeacher jobs included, greeting guests, working the front counter, serving drinks, serving ice cream and selling delicious apple pies. McTeachers had it all covered, and the families enjoyed a great evening. Lots of students, teachers, families and friends came out in their support. All the kids came to see their teachers work at the New Roselle Rd. McDonald's. Special thank-you goes to Cindy Oleson and Principal Zielke, who both organized the entire event. The McTeacher's Night was courtesy of the Hoffman Estates McDonald's owner/operator, David Bear. Mr. Bear was honored to have St. Peter Lutheran School Schaumburg be a part of the Grand Opening festivities for the new McDonald's.
