Annual Powwow this weekend in Busse Woods

The American Indian Center hosts its 63rd annual Powwow Saturday and Sunday at the Busse Woods Forest Preserve near Elk Grove Village.

The event features intertribal dancing, with grand entries at noon and 5 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday. There will also be archery and cultural presentations, an art marketplace, and food.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the forest preserve, near Higgins and Arlington Heights roads. Admission is $10-$15 and free for kids 5 and younger.
