Elk Grove Village repairs water main break at Biesterfield Road

A water main break that uprooted a tree on Biesterfield Road in Elk Grove Village was repaired by midmorning, authorities said.

The force of the water from the break uprooted the tree onto the westbound lanes of Biesterfield near Biesner Road, authorities said.

Eastbound lanes remained open while the tree was removed from the road. Westbound lanes were closed for about 30 minutes, and reopened at 6:20 a.m.

The Elk Grove Village public works department performed maintenance, authorities said.
