Des Plaines police investigate reports of gunfire outside restaurant

Des Plaines police responded to reports of gunfire Friday night outside a restaurant in the 3000 block of Mannheim Road, according to reports.

A report states that officers called to the location at 8:58 p.m. Friday spoke with several witnesses who described a confrontation between two groups followed by a man firing one or two shots. There was no indication anyone was struck.

One witness saw two men arguing and displaying gang signs toward someone in the restaurant parking lot, reports state. A second witness observed a man holding a gun over his head and heard a gunshot. A third witness reported hearing two gunshots and seeing four Hispanic men, all appearing to be in the late teens or early 20s, fleeing from the scene, reports state.
