Boys soccer: Magee's 34 helps Mundelein past Stevenson

Ryan Magee fired a 34 and was one of three Mundelein golfers to break 40 at Steeple Chase Golf Club on Thursday, as the Mustangs (150) edged Stevenson by 2 strokes in the North Suburban Conference showdown.

Tyler White and Brett Parola each had a 37 for Mundelein, and Zach Zentz added a 42.

Stevenson (152) was led by James Dvorak, whose 34 tied Magee for medalist honors. Jackson Bussell had a 36 for the Patriots, Kevin Chin shot a 40, and Mark Noonan finished with a 42.

Grayslake North d. Wauconda: At Countryside Golf Course, Alex Rowrobel was the medalist with a 40, as the Knights (171) claimed a seven-shot victory in Northern Lake County Conference action.

Grayslake North also counted Adam Baker's 42, Jack Dobovsky's 44 and Joey McHugh's 45.

Wauconda (178) was paced by Ty Janik's 41.

Glenbrook North d. Vernon Hills: At Sportsman's Country Club, Justin Park and Brian Favia each fired a 39 for the Cougars (161), who fell short against the Spartans (153).

Glenbrook North's Max Plasota was the medalist with a 37.
