Schaumburg police arrest, charge 2 men after reverse prostitution sting

Schaumburg police arrested two people in a reverse prostitution sting as part of the newly implemented Schaumburg Police Safe Hotel initiative.

Police said they used resources in human trafficking, intelligence gathering, surveillance and social media to arrest two men Wednesday.

Michael Linzing, 55, of Prospect Heights, was charged with solicitation of a sexual act, a misdemeanor, and was released on bond.

Fernando Fuentes, 29, of Hillside, was charged with solicitation of a sexual act and possession of cannabis. Both are misdemeanor charges, and he was released on bond.

The arrest is the result of a program announced in April that partners police and hotel management in an effort to promote safe hotels that attract visitors and deter criminal activity.

The Schaumburg Special Operations Division collaborated with the Department of Homeland Security Investigations.
