The Downtown Palatine Street Fest continues from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Brockway and Slade streets, but a few related activities start earlier.
The Feet Fest 3K Family Fun Run starts at 8:30 a.m. at Towne Square, 150 W. Palatine Road. Race fee is $15 at the event. The Sons of the American Legion pancake breakfast is from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at the American Legion Hall, 122 W. Palatine Road. Breakfast is $8 for runners, $9 for others, $5 for children ages 4-10 and free for kids 3 and younger.
The Kids Zone will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the Sweet Pea Parade steps off at 11:30 a.m. from the Towne Square Gazebo.
Entertainment includes the Battle of the Bands winner at 11 a.m.; Triadd Band at noon; the Brass Buckle Band at 2:30 p.m. and 7th Heaven at 4 p.m..
