Amtrak train strikes pedestrian in Hinsdale
An Amtrak train struck and killed a pedestrian Tuesday afternoon near the West Hinsdale Metra station, authorities said.
The crash occurred after 3 p.m. Trains were stopped during authorities' investigation, but they began moving again within the hour at restricted speeds. Metra trains on the BNSF line faced delays of up to an hour, officials said.
