Lincolnshire celebrates art, food and culture at festival

Located in the Village Green of Lincolnshire at Milwaukee Avenue and Old Half Day Road, the Lincolnshire Arts & Eats festival, running Friday through Sunday, Aug. 12-14, is a combination of the 19-year-old Lincolnshire Art Festival with the much loved Taste of Lincolnshire. The festival features approximately 100 of the country's most celebrated artists, with everything from sculptures, photography, ceramics, jewelry, oil paintings and wearable art.

"The village is excited about joining forces with Amdur Productions to combine the best aspects of the two iconic festivals into one exciting event. We invite Lincolnshire residents, corporate employees and guests to spend a relaxing weekend in Lincolnshire with friends and neighbors enjoying Lincolnshire Arts & Eats," Lincolnshire Mayor Liz Brandt said.

Patrons at Lincolnshire Arts & Eats will be able to enjoy an array of local cuisine from Half Day Brewing, Kona Grill, Eddie Merlot's, Lincolnshire Marriott and more. Live music will be performed by Shout Out, Class of '68, the Saturday June Band and Reggae. The Lincolnshire Eats & Arts Festival, is intended to create a broad array of art experiences, nurture the development of diverse art forms, and encourage the expanding strength of cultural life in Lincolnshire, while providing community interaction.

This free event is open to the public from 5-9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Guests can interact with artists through art demonstrations and booth chats; and kids can enjoy the youth art tent and try their hand at spin art, clay sculpting, art fair bingo and an art scavenger hunt all while enjoying food and live music.
