Summer Daze brings car show to Warrenville

Warrenville's Summer Daze celebration is almost always a perfect opportunity for car fans to revel in the sounds of revving engines and the sight of glittering chrome.

The annual celebration also features carnival rides, food, all sorts of music and the chance to mingle with neighbors. But one of the highlights is always the Saturday Classic Car show.

Roughly 150 cars were on display this time around, said Steve Bachorski, president of Countryside Customs, which oversees the vehicle display.

Members of the Illinois Camaro Club and the American Iron Car Club were among those displaying their cars for a panel of 10 judges that handed out awards for the top three vehicles in each of 23 categories.
