Bank at Glendale Heights Jewel robbed

A man robbed a Glendale Heights bank of an undisclosed amount of cash Friday afternoon, Glendale Heights police said.

Police said they responded at 4:53 p.m. to the TCF Bank at the Jewel at 2164 Bloomingdale Road.

Witnesses told officers the man entered the store and handed the bank employee a note demanding money. The bank employee complied with the request, after which the man exited the north doors of the store.

Bank employees then called 911.

Police said no weapon was displayed. No injuries were reported in the incident.

The offender vas described as a white male, 6 feet tall and 40-50 years of age wearing a black cowboy hat, black coat or blazer with a blue button dowm dress shirt and black pants. He was wearing a white surgical mask over his face.

Glendale Heights police are investigating the incident along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
