These killing machines must be controlled

Enough is enough. How many lives have to be tragically lost until we wake up and do something about this? Forget about the fact that they're used by hunters, farmers, our defense department, and millions of "law abiding" citizens. Something has to be done to save lives and stop the senseless killing.

Allow me to cite a few facts:

• 700 deaths and 26,000 injured in the US (2012)

• Evidence of fraud in the issuance of licenses and in health certifications for applicants

• Easy access at dealers and through private parties selling used models

• There are currently 133 million of them in America today (about one for every three men/women/children)

What happened in Nice, France, would not have happened if the French government only had the courage to stand up to special interests and ban all ... trucks.

It was not a crazed religious radical that killed these innocent people (including two Americans). It was a truck.

When are our elected leaders going to pass legislation to outlaw these killing machines so that this can't happen again?
