Wild sign South St. Paul, Minnesota State product Palmquist

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - The Minnesota Wild have re-signed defenseman Zach Palmquist to a one-year, two-way contract.

The deal was done Monday with Palmquist, who had four goals and seven assists in 69 games for the Iowa Wild in the AHL last season, his first full professional season. Palmquist's two-way contract calls for him to make $660,000 if he's playing in the NHL and $70,000 if he's playing in the AHL.

The 25-year-old played at South St. Paul High School and Minnesota State University, never missing a game with the Mavericks to set a program record with 160 consecutive games played. He was signed last year as a free agent by the Wild.
