Energy drives muscial 'Catch Me If You Can' in Buffalo Grove

Big Deal Productions is pleased to present its 2016 summer musical, "Catch Me If You Can."

Based on the movie and true story of teenager Frank Abagnale Jr., "Catch Me If You Can" is a bright and energetic musical comedy, featuring a 40-member cast and 15-member live orchestra. The musical is directed by Ken Preuss, choreographed by Karen Shuman, and conducted by Aaron Kaplan.

The musical production portrays Frank Abagnale Jr. and his adventures as he seeks fame and fortune by running away from home to pose successfully as a pilot, a doctor and a lawyer. His active imagination and millions of dollars in forged checks eventually catch the attention of FBI agent Carl Hanratty, who pursues Frank across the country.

This riveting story is rated PG, and is suitable for children as young as 8 years old.

Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. July 15, 16, 22 and 23, and 2 p.m. July 17 and 24.

Tickets are $17 in advance or $20 at the door for adults, and $12 in advance or $15 at the door for children 12 and younger. Tickets are available for purchase online at bigdealproductions.org.
