European Expectations: A collection of digital art and photography

Using a technique that combines traditional painting methods with computer technology, artists Mary and Jim Whitmer have created a vibrant digital art and photography collection that captures the beauty of Europe. The "European Expectations" exhibit will be on display for one day only on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, 2-4 p.m., in the Town Center at Covenant Village of Northbrook, 2625 Techny Road, Northbrook, Ill.

The exhibit includes nearly 100 matted or framed art pieces showcasing the European countryside and harbors, including Tuscany's idyllic landscape and the indigo- and red-colored gondolas lining the canals of Venice. The public is invited to view the collection, meet the artists, and learn more about their artistic methods. European-style treats will be served.

The exhibit is free, but reservations are required. To reserve your spot or learn more, call (877) 816-5668 or visit www.covenantnorthbrook.org.
