Go Greek at St. Demetrios' fest

St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church's annual Lake County Greek Fest will be from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday through Sunday, July 8-10.

The festival will feature food; live Greek music and folk dancers; inflatables and games; raffles; and Greek jewelry, books and crafts.

Food available for purchase will include authentic Greek cuisine like roast leg of lamb, Athenian chicken, pastichio (a baked pasta dish), grilled souvlakia, and gyros, as well as Greek pastries like baklava, loukoumathes (honey puffs), galatoboureko (custard-filled pastry) and more.

A drive through will be open from 4-7 p.m. all three days, rain or shine, and advance orders can be emailed to stdgreekfest@gmail.com. Greek beer and wine and Greek Island breeze cocktails will also be available.
