Steve Stricker is playing the Scottish Open for the first time since 1995 when it was held at Carnoustie. ... The leading four players not already eligible from the top 12 will get into the British Open. ... Colin Montgomerie (1999) and Jimmy Adams (1936) are the only Scottish players to win their national championship since it began in 1935. Billy Andrade is No. 2 in the Charles Schwab Cup without having won this year. Andrade has seven top 10s. ... John Daly is playing before heading over to Scotland for the British Open. Daly won the B.C. Open at En-Joie in 1992 for his second career PGA Tour victory. ... Daly is among four players at En-Joie who are in the British Open next week. The others are former Open champion Tom Lehman and Marco Dawson, who won the Senior British Open last year.
