Ford, Netflix and Alcoa gain ground, Micron Technology sinks

NEW YORK (AP) - Stocks that moved substantially or traded heavily on Friday:

Ford Motor Co., up 15 cents to $12.72

The auto maker said its sales grew 6 percent in June on stronger sales of its F-Series pickup.

Micron Technology Inc., down $1.26 to $12.50

The memory chip maker posted soft sales, gave a weak forecast, and said it will cut jobs.

Netflix Inc., up $5.19 to $96.67

Consumer companies led stocks higher Friday.

Williams Cos., down $1.07 to $20.56

Six directors resigned from the pipeline company's board.

Alcoa Inc., up 28 cents to $9.55

Mining companies climbed as the prices of gold, silver and other metals increased.

Franklin Covey Co., down $1.47 to $13.86

The corporate training and consultancy company reported weak quarterly results.

Honeywell International Inc., up 18 cents to $116.50

The conglomerate said it will buy Intelligrated, a warehouse automation company, for $1.5 billion.

OraSure Technologies Inc., up 29 cents to $6.20

The company said it ended a marketing deal with AbbVie, which was promoting its OraQuick hepatitis C test.
