Couple identified in Bensenville death investigation
The DuPage County coroner's office has identified the man and woman found shot to death early Wednesday inside a Bensenville home.
According to authorities, Tanya Jenkins, 40, of the 1300 block of Indian Hill Drive, died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.
Michael Jenkins, 54, of the same address, died from a single gunshot wound.
“While we are in the beginning phase of the investigation it appears to be a murder/suicide,” said DuPage County Coroner Richard Jorgensen.
Police Chief Frank Kosman said Wednesday that officers found the bodies while conducting a wellness check around 6 a.m. at the home.
