Little red Ferrari

If your Father's Day gift was a little underwhelming, tell Dad you'll take him to Ferraris on Oak, a daytime event that closes down Oak Street to motor traffic to display a collection of 70 vintage, late-model and racing Ferraris. Ticket holders get VIP access to the event's red carpet and up-close viewing of the Italian automobiles, as well as the opportunity to meet the cars' owners and learn about the Ferrari brand. Participating Oak Street boutiques, salons and restaurants will offer ticket holders exclusive in-store experiences and tastings, too. Purchase raffle tickets for prizes from Oak Street businesses (proceeds from the raffle benefit the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago). The sidewalks will be open to pedestrians who can still experience the event from outside the velvet ropes. 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 10, on Oak Street, between Rush Street and Michigan Avenue, Chicago. Tickets cost $100 in advance and, if available, $125 day-of. For event info and to purchase tickets, visit ferrarisonoak.com/.
