Couples celebrate 60th anniversaries at Elk Grove Village parade

Couples who have been married for 60 years served as grand marshals of Elk Grove Village's annual Hometown Parade Saturday, as the village celebrates its 60th anniversary this year.

This year's parade theme, "Celebrating Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow," also made for a number of floats recalling local history.

The parade wound its way late Saturday afternoon down Elk Grove Boulevard, from Tonne Road to the RotaryFest grounds at 150 Lions Drive. The fest concludes Sunday.
