Jersey Mike's to open in Bartlett

Jersey Mike's Subs will open in Bartlett on June 22.

Franchise owner Jim Shipman will hold a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, June 22 to Sunday, June 26 to support Bartlett Park Foundation - For Inclusive Playground Project.

The new restaurant, located at 959 South Illinois Route 59, is circulating 7,500 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 donation to Bartlett Park Foundation - For Inclusive Playground Project. Customers must have a coupon to be eligible.

Since 2010, Jersey Mike's locations throughout the country have raised nearly $18 million for local charities and have distributed more than 1.5 million free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes. This year, the company's 6th Annual Jersey Mike's Month of Giving in March raised more than $4 million for 180 charities throughout the country.

Started in 1956, Jersey Mike's now has 1,500 restaurants open and under development nationwide. In 2015, for the second year in a row, the company was named the No. 1 fastest growing chain in the Nation's Restaurant News Top 100.

This is Shipman's eighth location. He opened his first Jersey Mike's in 2010 in Geneva. His other locations in St. Charles, South Elgin, Downers Grove, Mount Prospect, Elmhurst and Oakbrook Terrace.

Jersey Mike's, a fast-casual sub sandwich franchise with more than 1,500 locations open and under development nationwide, believes that making a sub sandwich and making a difference can be one and the same.
